“Rugby has made me
the person I am today.
I am forever grateful and will
cherish every moment of it.”

Hi, I am Netani Talei, a 33 time Fijian International rugby player, and Harlequins player, appearing in over 200 Premiership Club games across my career. Now Head of training at CityCise.

Born in Suva, Fiji, I moved to the UK in 2006 to play for Doncaster Knights before catching the eye of Worcester Warriors the following season.

After making 55 appearances for the West Midlands outfit, I moved north to Edinburgh for three seasons, followed by a year in Wales at Newport Gwent Dragons and finally Harlequins.

Now that the final whistle in my career has blown- after representing my country in both 7s and 15s, participating in three Rugby World Cups, and playing over 200 senior club rugby games- another challenge in life arises for me in the health and fitness industry. “I will now dedicate my time to helping people achieve their fitness and sporting goals, which I am really passionate and excited about.

Expect motivating, down to earth and supportive training and definitely expect to have lots of fun. I am known for being a practical joker and your training will not be boring. My job is to make you enjoy your training whether that be in a class or one to one with myself as well as reaching your personal fitness goals.
