Climb your own Everest at CityCise

We would like to invite you and a guest to Citycise Wandsworth for the launch of the “The Everest Challenge” in association with “The Wooden Spoon Charity’.

The Everest Challenge

In April of 2019 Rugby stars Lee Mears, Ollie Phillips, Shane Williams and Tamara Taylor will attempt to set two world records on Mount Everest. They will trek and play alongside 20 inspirational men and women to help raise more than £200,000 for children with disabilities and facing disadvantage across the UK and Ireland.

The LMAX Exchange Everest Rugby Challenge takes place across 24 days (13 April to 6 May 2019) and will see the group battle acclimatisation and heights of 6,500 metres to play the highest game of full contact rugby and the highest game of mixed touch rugby in history – all in support of Wooden Spoon.

We are kicking off the Everest challenge with this launch event “Climb your own Everest at Citycise.”

We will be launching the campaign, with corporate sponsors, ambassadors and challengers at Citycise Boutique Fitness Studio & Social Club in Wandsworth at 5pm on Friday 23rd November.
Your are invited to attend the event and support our challengers (or take part if you have signed up) and join us for drinks and networking afterwards at The Kings Arms pub.

My Everest

Every person in the world faces their own personal Everest. We will be sharing powerful stories from the Wooden Spoon community of how they have overcome their Everest. These stories will inspire others to overcome their Everest and form the foundation for a supportive and encouraging community.

To coincide with the My Everest Stories we will be encouraging people to climb their own Everest. Whether walking, wheeling or any other activity, climbing 8,848m to fundraise for Wooden Spoon throughout the year.

To inspire you we are watching 10 teams see how far they can race up Everest at Citycise next Friday.

The Event Location

CityCise Gym, 63 Wandsworth High St, SW18 2PT
